PHOTOS FROM MIAMI

This year The Seventh Letter teamed up with Klughaus Gallery and Live from The Streets to create an out of the box experience merging live music with the violation of rented moving trucks. With Meca (Seventh Letter’s right hand man) drumming on the roof of the trucks throughout the week, the constant drinking of Budweiser, and the group sampling of phychedelics we are sure to bring you an entertaining trip video within the next month. Razor blade.

In celebration of Klughaus Gallery’s one-year anniversary, we are thrilled to announce “Snap Back – Dangerous Drawings About New York,” a dual artist show featuring Brooklyn natives RIME (Jersey Joe) and TOPER. “Snap Back” will feature illustrations and paintings that integrate elements of the artists’ past experiences living in New York City; each piece is inspired by a personal story. “TOPER is one of my oldest friends and a very talented guy with a very interesting life experience,” says RIME. “This show aims to tap into our life experience coming up in New York.”

LUSH AT KLUGHAUS GALLERY

LUSH
Shitty Drawings in New York City
Curated by Michael Hunt

Opening Reception: Saturday, August 25 from 6-10pm
Location: 47 Monroe Street New York, NY 10002
RSVP: rsvp@klughaus.net

The Australian so-called “graffiti artist” LUSH is having his debut New York solo exhibition at Klughaus Gallery on Saturday, August 25, 2012. Following successful shows in Australia and London, LUSH is going to be bringing his “Shitty Art” to the Big Apple! Love him or hate him, be sure to swing by to show your support (or disapproval.) For his upcoming show, LUSH will be showcasing a bunch of witty illustrations that mainly “take the piss out” of his graffiti roots. There will be limited copies of a new zine by LUSH released at the opening. As always, I’m sure the show will be full of surprises!

Be sure to check out the Klughaus Tumblr and Instagram accounts for daily previews counting down to the opening of the show!

For press inquiries, please contact: MichaelHuntAUS@gmail.com
The show will run from Aug. 25 through Sept. 7, 2012
